Lilia Dragneva
born in 1975, Chisinau, Rep. Moldova.

Studied Art at the Moldovan Republican Painting School, Music in the Music School #5 in Chisinau and Fashion Design at the State Institute of Art, Chisinau. Since 1995 works as independent artist together with Lucia Macari in the field of Contemporary Art.
Since 1999 she has been making research for her master's studies at the department of Art History in The Academy of Science, Rep. of Moldova. The topic: 'Contemporary Art in Republic of Moldova'.
Among her curatorial work are exhibitions and symposia like:
BANII, action/manifesto, Chisinau, Rep. of Moldova; Video Marathon Night'99, 3rd edition of video night, Chisinau, Rep. of Moldova (dedicated to the 'Absolute Film' from William Moritz collection); International Exhibition 'Identity Signs', Chisinau, Rep. of Moldova; International Camp for Creation CarbonART'2000, CARBONART' 2003 - The inexistent space and CarbonArt '2004 - Memory lane, Chisinau, Rep. of Moldova; Regards projetes - video program from Balkans, Strasbourg/France, Thessalonica/Greece, Belgrade/Serbia, Sophia/Bulgaria, Chisinau/Moldova (curator of the Moldovan video block), Donumenta 2004 Exhibition / Regensburg, Germany.
She collaborated in developing of the catalog 'Gioconda's Smile. From Mythic to Tehno ritual' and made research for the publication 'Unfortunately last Sunday afternoon somebody left the door open…', Sittard, Netherlands. With Lucia Macari she initiated the project 'Kinovari (imatazia)' - the first exhibition of this project took place in Chisinau between June 5-15 - 2000.
Currently she is the Director of the Center of Contemporary Art [ksa:k] in Chisinau.
