Mihnea Mircan
born 1976, is a curator at the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Bucharest,
Romania. He has recently curated the projects 'Under Destruction #1'
(Gianni Motti and Christoph Buchel) and the retrospective 'Jaan Toomik.
Video Works'. Upcoming projects include 'No significant incidents to
report' at New Gallery in Bucharest and 'Under Destruction #2' with Santiago
Sierra.
He also often contributes texts on the Romanian scene to various international
contemporary art magazines and catalogues. Recent publications include
'Not that painting, the other one' (Umelec, Prague, august 2005) and 'Community
Work. A Report' (in the catalogue of the exhibition 'Paradoxes. The embodied
city' (Gulbenkian Foundation, Lisbon).
