2000: founder of the first section of the Atelje 2050 society, named Sampless 2050. With Sampless 2050 and Atelje 2050 he began with the organization of electro-acoustic events which were experimental in nature. Because of this the media characterized Atelje 2050 as the herald of the new trends in musical culture both in Slovenia and abroad.
Besides leading the section, he has often appeared as a musical producer over the past few years, in independent musical projects, as well as in theatre, video, advertising and film projects.
In 2004 he was one of the nominees in the Red Bull Music Accademy competition. The competition attracts more than 2000 applications from all over the world, out of which 60 participants are chosen for a two-week course in music production. Janu¹ was the only Slovene to be chosen for this year’s course that takes place in South Africa.
