The attempt of this writing is to analyse the changes in contemporary home and house (domicil(ity) and domesticity) through the work of artists and architects. The chosen projects are approaching the problems with various intentions: to show, to revile, and to resolve. The considered projects contain certain consciousness of the conflict. They investigate the changes in domestic domain and examine the new conditions. The posed questions are concerning the relationship between the BODY and the mind, technology, shelter, displacement, space, city, nature. The relationship or conflict is regarded as infinite system of oppositions, established by the body as the main protagonist. The PRIVATE realm could not be separate from the PUBLIC realm since one gives the possibility of existence to the other. The whole system is therefore reflected in both domains, private and public, which are everywhere around us therefore this is an investigation of everyday and "habitual".
