PROJECT SPINOZA, 2016-2017

Spinoza's Lens (2016) is the first part of a two-year project, which juxtaposes Spinoza's findings on philosophy and optics. The performance with an installation is in function of a research theatre. It presents a key to the second part, the performance Spinoza (2017), which will elaborate the established code by means of drama/dance processes. (more)

Goce Smilevski: Spinoza (2017) The dance-theatre performance Spinoza is based on the play written by Macedonian author Goce Smilevski. Through the entire novel with multiple layers of narration, visually powerful descriptions, interweaving biographic facts and fictitious situations, the author highlights and implements Spinoza's philosophy, from the substance of the rejection of affection to virtue itself.
